Wow September is almost already here, this is what I plan to be reading for the month.

We Have Always Lived in The Castle By Shirley Jackson

This novel will be my classic of the month, I have read and loved Shirley Jackson short fiction, “The Lottery” is my favorite, but I’ve never read a novel from her before.

Joyland by Stephen King

I like everybody need more Stephen King in my life, Goodreads has him as my top author that I have read at 21 but there’s still so much I want to read and frankly re-read of his, and why not keep him at the top.

Lovecraft Country By Matt Ruff

Has been recommended to me the most from my friend that love horror, It’s supposed to show horror themes intermixed race relations in the 1950’s, and that sounds just too good to pass up.

Ghost by Jason Reynolds

I saw it on the PBS Great American Reads and it sounded really interesting, and I need to read more off that list, as I’ve read 22 so far.

Circe by Madeline Miller

This is a book that I’m currently reading and really enjoying, I kept seeing it getting high reviews on the wordpress community.

Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula both by Kerri Maniscalco

These books were first put on my radar by there beautiful cover art as I was browsing at my local Barnes and Nobel bookstore.  They were both staff picks and sounded really interesting.  He new book “Escaping from Houdini” comes out this month and I love anything magic, also she’s doing a book signing not far from me on the 22nd for the new novel.

The newest Kerri Maniscalco will probably be read this month too and I usually read a graphic novel as well, what are you guys reading?
